Shiraz Persian Cuisine, nestled in the heart of San Diego, stands out as a gem for lovers of Persian flavors. Customers rave about the expertly prepared dishes that showcase the rich culinary heritage of Iran. Reviewer Linda Villavicencio highlights the restaurant's "excellent steak kabob" paired with delightful cherry saffron rice, and she couldn’t resist praising the mouthwatering lamb shank, known for its tender, fall-off-the-bone texture. The ambiance of Shiraz is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for gatherings with friends and family. As Susie Kim notes, it’s her go-to choice for entertaining visitors, surpassing even her favorites in Los Angeles. The atmosphere complements the culinary experience, fostering a sense of community and shared enjoyment. Ida Beikzadeh appreciates the crunch of tahdig, that delightful crispy rice layer, which adds an authentic touch to her meal. Adam K9 also commends the substantial portion sizes and friendly staff, contributing to a welcoming dining atmosphere. Overall, Shiraz Persian Cuisine is more than just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of Persian culture, making every meal a memorable occasion. Whether you’re new to Persian cuisine or a seasoned enthusiast, this restaurant promises a flavorful and satisfying experience.

Excellent steak kabob I had the cherries saffron rice. Delicious. We also had the lamb shank. It was mouth watering. Melted in your mouth fell off the bone

Was here last night, the food was really good. I’ve tried many different middle eastern places and this was good! Love that the rice had tahdig! (Crunchy rice)

This is my favorite Persian restaurant in San Diego, and maybe even better than my favorites in LA! The environment is always welcoming and the food is phenomenal. I always come here when I have friends or family visiting me in SD because everything tastes great and the ambiance is great for sharing a good meal together.

From the moment we walked in Saeed the owner of the restaurant was super welcoming and took care of us really well. I have had persian food in LA and Irvine but this place is now on top of my list. Thank you Shiraz

The service and hospitality of the owner was great. The food quality was great too and the food was served in the elegant metal dishes. The frames decoration of old Persian empire create the unique atmosphere.

Food is amazing! Owner operated - cheffing and all. Ambiance is welcoming and quiet. No rush to order or eat. They encourage lingering. Weekends may include belly dancing during the evening. On Valentine's Day, we enjoyed delicious food, good service, and belly dancing.

Great Persian restaurant in SD. Food and service were top notch. We had zereshk polo and albaloo polo with chicken and loved both of them.
